My first ever video course is online

Less than a month ago, I got contacted by Skillshare with kind words about my blog posts on Node.js so they asked me whether I’m interested in making a class on any of the technologies I know and share about anyway.

I’m always happy to share knowledge, but there are 5 years since my last public speaking in front of a camera and, oh boy, that’s gotten so hard to do! Some sessions, like the intro, I re-tried probably a few hundreds of times!

Anyway, my passion won the inner battle and I decided to act upon and just do my best in the shortest possible period in order to release early, search feedback and then do better and release often based on feedback.

I believe feedback from the community is the best means to measure results.

About the course

The course is actually quite simple — it’s about Gatsby.js and demonstrates comparatively easy concepts.

That’s why I allowed myself to include a few tips aside of the main topic in order to pass the way of thinking and organizing work rather than details about language syntax and APIs, both of which are richly documented online.

The course contains the how-s and the why-s, aiming to make every step as gratifying as possible.

Give feedback

As I mentioned, I made this course mainly for the purpose of getting to know what people understand out of the topics in the course, and also what’s not-so-clear or well-explained.

Use either this post or the @kalinchernev handle anywhere online to give me your opinion what could be done better — I would really appreciate it, especially given that this is truly my first-ever online video course! :)

Enjoy!
